You can't tell me it's not officially autumn yet. I've been desperate for these days. Summer may be right for some people, but there's something comforting about fall.

I'm already very much a books, candles, and blankets sort, but I got even more in the spirit of the incoming season with a box from Slow North. Founded in 2015, this family-owned business specializes in bath, body, and home products using natural scents. Because I am a candle fiend (as you may have seen from previous reviews), I decided to test out some of their soy candles.

I got two scents: Geranium + Rose and Moonglow. The former does just what it says on the tin. It's bright and floral, and a fairly straightforward scent. The rose is more of an undertone, so if you're like me and are just a fiend of all things rose, you might not be getting exactly what you're expecting. That said, it is quite nice. I like this one for daytime, when I want a scent that's a bit more energetic.

Moonglow is slightly more complex, with notes of patchouli, cinnamon, and black pepper. This one wasn't really my vibe; however, fans of more incense-y scents will absolutely love this. As much as I love candles, my favorite thing out of the box was the linen spray. This was in Slow North's Midnight Garden scent, which I absolutely love. It's a floral/herbal blend, with the chief notes being lavender and rosemary. I would use this to spray down my bed linens after a wash, or just spritz it around a bit on nights when I knew I'd have insomnia and wanted something comforting in the air.

All their scents come in a variety of forms: candles of course, but also sprays, diffuser oils, and (for select scents) bath and body products. They also sell self-care items like migraine masks!
